I am a doctoral candidate at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in the French program and currently hold a competitive Dissertation Year Fellowship. I have recently joined the North Cross School faculty full time, heading the French program. I have completed a fellowship in Instructional Technology (Digital Pedagogy) at the Macaulay Honors College. I have also taught both French literature and language at Lehman College and Fordham University.
My research interests include visual and object poetry, the international Avant-Garde, digital literature, and the poet Stéphane Mallarmé. My dissertation project reads Mallarmé’s theories about writing and poetry to examine a tradition of poetic events starting with his object poetry and moving to digital media.
